Why I Greet & Do I Get Paid
Hi friends.
Here are 5 reasons I greet:
I believe a greeter adds value to an event. I want to add value.
It gives me the opportunity to meet new people. I love meeting new people.
I get the opportunity to experience different types of events. I enjoy seeing how people do things differently.
I help people as the arrive to the event. I answer so many questions. I think this helps people relax and enjoy their event that much more when they have someone ready to respond to their questions like where is the restroom, etc.
It’s soooooooo much fun.
Do I get paid:
Majority time I do it for free.
I have started asking people to make a donation to a non-profit that I started that coaches single moms and their high school age son(s).
I did get a sponsor for 2020 but guess what happened - covid. Will probably pursue this again for 2022.
At the end of the day, I truly believe that greeting is game a changer for an event and I love it.
